2023 Source Grant Awardee Celebration Press Event

The 2023 Source Grant Awardee Cel­e­bra­tion Press Event at The Hatch­ery Chica­go on Feb­ru­ary 6, 2024, show­cased the sig­nif­i­cant sup­port from Cook Coun­ty Com­mis­sion­ers for entre­pre­neur­ship and small busi­ness devel­op­ment. A total of 3,000 grants were giv­en out, total­ing a his­toric $50 mil­lion in grant fund­ing for eli­gi­ble small businesses. 

Heng Sang Wong, a $10,000 grant recip­i­ent of the 2023 Source Grant and own­er of Trend Salon in Bridge­port, IL, attend­ed the event and was touched to see offi­cials, com­mu­ni­ty orga­ni­za­tions, and oth­er small busi­ness own­ers. He thinks the work that is being done to sup­port com­mu­ni­ty busi­ness­es is impor­tant and he is so grate­ful that it is in his neighborhood.
