Federal Communication Commission representative Susan Au Allen meets with Bay Area Chinatown leaders for digital equity

USPAACC Nation­al Head­quar­ters, CEO& Pres­i­dent Susan Au Allen met with San Fran­cis­co and Oak­land Chi­na­town lead­ers, Vice Chair of the Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Equi­ty and Diver­si­ty Coun­cil (CEDC) under the Fed­er­al Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Com­mis­sion (FCC), CNPP Spokes USPAACC West­ern Chap­ter, BeChi­na­town and North­east Com­mu­ni­ty Fed­er­al Cred­it Union on Nov 30 and fea­tured on Wind Newspaper. 

Their dis­cus­sions cen­tered in SBA’s Com­mu­ni­ty Nav­i­ga­tor Pilot Pro­gram (CNPP) where USPAACC estab­lished 2 CNPP Spokes in Chi­na­town and the Ten­der­loin Dis­trict to bring access to cap­i­tal and finan­cial relief as well as tech­ni­cal assis­tance to help dis­tressed small busi­ness­es sur­vive and piv­ot to new heights. The Infra­struc­ture Invest­ment and Jobs Act that invests $42.25 bil­lions in broad­band build­out in under­served and unserved com­mu­ni­ties in San Fran­cis­co and Oak­land Chi­na­town were also a focus of the meeting.
