Inclusive Business Funding for AAPI Business Community

05/25/2023, the Asian Cham­ber of Com­merce Hous­ton (ACC) host­ed an event with local SBA& SBDC about the chal­lenges that AAPI-owned busi­ness face when seek­ing fund­ing. 12 peo­ple attended!

Asian Cham­ber of Com­merce Hous­ton (ACC) had Valerie Maher and Win­ston Labbe from the SBA briefly intro­duce what the SBA does as well as intro­duced SBDC rep­re­sen­ta­tive Daniel Luu and a pan­el­list of local SBA lenders, Bill Chen of Gold­en Bank and Paul Cheong of Han­mi Bank. 

The con­ver­sa­tion revolved around shar­ing knowl­edge, ideas, and expe­ri­ences from the lend­ing aspect and pro­vid­ing per­spec­tive and insight as a busi­ness own­er look­ing to gain access to capital.
