T’baar is a bubble tea brand created by Gary Lin in Brooklyn, NY back in the early 2000s. Unlike today, bubble tea was not common in the States. Gary created the brand because he wanted to share this part of his culture with New Yorkers. As time went on, T’baar was unable to keep up with the competition and when NU Media approached T’baar, we decided to help them re-brand and tell their unique story as one of the first Asian bubble tea brand that is born and raised in NYC. After our help, T’baar is now gaining more traffic at their stores and receiving positive feedback from customers.
T’baar was struggling to keep with the competition and Gary lost directions. And that’s when NU Media decided to help T’baar re-brand. Before we helped T’baar, the founder, Gary hadno clue how unique his story was (as the first and only bubble tea shop born and raised in NYC). T’baar also struggled financially since there are more and more new corporate bubble tea brands that opened stores in NYC over the past half a decade. When NU Media decided to help T’baar, we understood that it is crucial for customers to know the origins of T’baar and by doing so, we were able to connect with many New Yorkers. Today, T’baar has successfully opened its first newly branded store in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
