USPAACC: Community Navigator Pilot Program (CNPP) Spokes The Law Office of Wonyoung Kim, Roth & Co, and the Trusted Lawyers provide free one-on-one consultations for legal services in Texas and Georgia, tax and accounting services in Chicago and New Jerse

Wash­ing­ton, D.C. – The US Pan Asian Amer­i­can Cham­ber of Com­merce Edu­ca­tion Foun­da­tion (USPAACC) today announced the pro­vi­sion of vital ser­vices and sup­port from its Com­mu­ni­ty Nav­i­ga­tor Pilot Pro­gram (CNPP) ​“Spokes” that will assist Pan Asian American/​AAPI small busi­ness­es impact­ed by the pandemic.

Serv­ing in a nation­al lead­er­ship role as a ​“Hub” for the CNPP, USPAACC con­tin­ues offer­ing free legal and account­ing con­sul­ta­tion ser­vices to Pan Asian American/​AAPI small busi­ness­es affect­ed by the pan­dem­ic in five crit­i­cal states: Cal­i­for­nia, Geor­gia, Illi­nois, New Jer­sey, and Texas. The Law Office of Wony­oung Kim in Dal­las, Texas; The Trust­ed Lawyers in Atlanta, Geor­gia; and the Roth & Co CPA firm in Chica­go, Illi­nois, and New Jer­sey will be the start­ing point of con­tact for ini­tial inquiries. 

The CNPP offers fund­ing to non­prof­its, state and local gov­ern­ments, uni­ver­si­ties, and trib­al enti­ties to part­ner with the U.S. Small Busi­ness Admin­is­tra­tion (SBA) at the cen­ter of a Hub-and-Spoke net­work. These Hubs then sup­port Spoke orga­ni­za­tions – trust­ed, cul­tur­al­ly knowl­edge­able local groups and indi­vid­u­als – who will con­nect to spe­cif­ic sec­tors of the entre­pre­neur­ial com­mu­ni­ty to pro­vide assis­tance dur­ing eco­nom­ic recov­ery, includ­ing finan­cial assis­tance and access to cap­i­tal, con­tract­ing and pro­cure­ment, mar­ket­ing, oper­a­tions, busi­ness devel­op­ment, export­ing, and indus­try-spe­cif­ic train­ing and busi­ness advisory.

We will con­tin­ue our work to ensure the CNPP real­izes its vital mis­sion of build­ing a stronger econ­o­my,” USPAACC Nation­al Pres­i­dent and CEO Susan Au Allen said.

Through the CNPP, the SBA engages with states, local gov­ern­ments, resource part­ners, and oth­er orga­ni­za­tions in tar­get­ed out­reach for small busi­ness­es in under­served com­mu­ni­ties. In Octo­ber 2021, the SBA named USPAACC a Tier‑1 Nation­al Lev­el Grant Awardee for the CNPP with fund­ing of up to $5 mil­lion. USPAACC helps admin­is­ter the pro­gram as a nation­al Hub for 14 region­al Spokes, and the Law Office of Wony­oung Kim, The Trust­ed Lawyers, and Roth & Co are among them.
